We had a fun time ziplining around the property. The guides were sweet and all about safety - which is important when ziplining. The only issue we had were about tipping. There are signs posted, Santa gave a speech about it when we got on the truck and another employee gave a second, bossy speech about it at the end of the tour. The tone of the whole thing was a real turn-off, especially for people who travel and are habitual over-tippers. What’s the story with that? Do they get paid a wage at all or are they underpaid by the employer? And tipping is now an expected thing? Is it a Tennessee zipline industry thing? Truthfully, it makes employees come across as insincere and unnaturally friendly. So my 5 stars turned to 4. I would’ve added pix but we weren’t allowed to take anything with us, including phones. But you can buy photos at the end … no thanks. My photos would’ve been more fun.
