This day trip to Zaanse Schans and Giethoorn offers free hotel pick-up service in Amsterdam. This unique tour has maximum 8 persons* per group, so we can have full focus on each individual traveller. A luxury and comforable mini van (Mecedes brand) will wait for you in front of your hotel. A bottled water will be provided to each traveller. Power bank, umbrella are provided and free to use during whole trip. In the morning, you would visit a Dutch cheese factory, a wooden shoe factory and enjoy a royal diamond demonstration at Zaanse Schans; After that we will travel to Giethoorn, you would discover the 'Green Venice' of Holland and enjoy one hour free boat cruise in Giethoorn. This trip is suitable for the travellers who want to spend more time in two places. This 10 hours experience gives you a relaxed, memorable and enjoyable tour with lots of beautiful photos. *Please note: at the peak season, we might combine two groups together, but we will contact you in advance about this.

Traveler pickup is offered

- Please be prepared and wait in front of your hotel 5 minutes before our arrival.
- We offer hotel pick-up service for all the hotels in the highway Ring A10, excluding north part of the IJ River. Travelers can take free ferry to central station from north Amsterdam. We don't pick up from the airport area.
- One day before the tour, we will contact you regarding the exact hotel pick up time. We pick up between 8:00 - 8:30.

    At Zaanse Schans, the natural windmill village, you would first have a private guided Dutch cheese factory tour, to know how to make Gouda cheese in the traditional way. You could taste more than 26 different flavors of cheese. After that, you will visit a Dutch wooden shoes factory, over here you would watch a live demonstration of making wooden shoes by a traditional clog maker. After that you would have a private Royal Amsterdam Diamond tour, to know the history of diamond, and enjoy the 'Royal Lady' diamond with 268 facets. Of course you would have your own free time to get close to the windmills and take a lot of photos.

    This attraction is the first stop at Zaanse Schans.     At this attraction, you would expect to see a live demonstration of making wooden shoes by traditional clog makers, get to know the history of wooden shoes, and see different types of wooden shoes. You could have wooden shoes try-on here with different paintings / colors. Of course you can take as many photos as you want.

    After Zaanse Schans, we will travel to Giethoorn. You would explore the ‘Green Little Venice’ of the Netherlands. You will enjoy about 3-4 hours here to explore the sights by yourself and your loved ones. we include 1 hour traditional boat cruise here. But if you want, you could cruise your own boat by yourself, that would have more fun with your family or friends.

Leidse,our tour guide was prompt, informative, engaging, safe and knowledgeable. What started being a typical tourist “trap” with multiple venues selling souvenirs interspersed with actual attractions, turned out to be a very enjoyable day due mainly to Leidse and his knowledge and engaging manner. Make sure you ask for Leidse.

My friend and I had a front seat view all the way there in a newer. Pete was very informative with all sorts of tidbits of area, laws, land reclamation, levees, village information and he knew all the "backroads" that saved time getting back to Amsterdam from our morning excursion. It was the pinnacle of our short 6 day vacation and worth it in my opinion. Thanks Pete.

Great trip guide was not that great. Guide didn't pick me up at hotel like he was supposed. When I said I was in the lobby he got upset and gave me a hard time why am I still in bed tour leaves now. Hello I'm not in bed. He argued w me about which door to use no I'm not climbing over other guests to get out I'm old enough to understand to look for bikes. He only spoke to the Asian tourists on the bus the whole time about his aspiring acting career. Great sites lame guide.
