After meeting your guide in Athens, hear tales about the ancient Greeks and their lives in Delphi while travelling by air-conditioned coach with zero carbon footprint. You will reach Delphi towards Mt. Parnassos, making a short rest stop outside the town of Levadia. The first stop is the Delphi archaeological site – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Skip the lines and walk around the evocative ruins with your guide, see famous monuments like the monument of the Argive Kings, the treasury of the Athenians, the monument of Platea and the Temple of Apollo famous for its oracle. The second stop is the Delphi museum, with its spectacular exhibits. Be sure to check out the bronze Charioteer of Delphi and the Sphinx of Naxos. After lunch, visit Athena Pronaia Sanctuary, the most photographed spot in Delphi. Return to Athens passing by the picturesque Arachova, built on the slopes of Parnassus, well known for its attractive hand-woven carpets, rugs and quilts, as well as for its wine and cheese.

Our driver,Thomas, was in incredible. And our guide, Costas, taught us more about Greek mythology and history than I ever learned in school. Plus, he made it interesting. Our included lunch was very good, and more than enough food. The whole experience was really great. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to Athens.

We were a bit lucky that the weather was absolutely perfect when we visited Delphi. Thomas the driver was excellent and Kostas our guide was very knowledgeable and fun to listen to. He deftly navigated us through the other tour groups that wwre visiting. The drive there definitely didn't feel like 3 hours with his commentary on Greek history and the beautiful countryside. The site is really gorgeous and felt sacred. Having a guide was helpful to imagine what it was like to be a pilgrim to Delphi seeking a prophetic answer to a life changing question. I wish we could've had a bit more time to explore the area but it's a long day so I understand why. My slight negative would be that the meal was only okay. We did the included meal and although the restaurant is beautiful, the food was meh. We may be spoiled from all the great places in Athens though!
