A heartwarming dive into Bali’s vibrant colours, scents, and flavours in the beautiful, inspiring home and organic garden of a lovely rice farming family just outside of Ubud.
Our day began at the bustling market in Pejeng where we met the wonderful Putu to explore local produce and traditions and taste local cakes and fruits.
Putu makes an excellent host - kind, patient, eloquent, knowledgeable, particularly good with children.
Next we headed to Putu’s peaceful, warm and welcoming home and kitchen for a blissful day of cooking. We learnt so much from Putu as we chopped, ground and grilled. The kitchen buzzed with laughter and steam, with chickens roaming around Putu’s impressive garden.
Needless to say, our feast was absolutely delicious. This was one of our favourite experiences in Bali.
