Great activity for all. Caught the gondola up during daylight hours to enjoy the view and returned after sun down. The view is breathtaking from both in the gondola and viewing platforms on the mountain. Although it was cold, we rugged up and walked the length of the boardwalk to the viewing platform. Inside the facility, we found the historical information interesting with some good interactive displays. Had dinner in the Sky Bistro and then enjoyed some of the "winter light" activities. To improve the service, the return lines were quite long, so I would suggest to management to "fill" the return gondolas to avoid lengthy wait time. Overall, something for everyone.

Banff gondola is accessible via the Roam Transit shuttle. Depending on the time of day, the bus can be very crowded. I would recommend pre-booking your Gondola ticket so you can just jump in the queue on your arrival. The line moved quickly as did the gondola, before we knew it we were on top of the mountain overlooking beautiful Banff. What I liked about the gondola is that they didn't put you with random strangers, only the people in your group were in each gondola carriage. The view from the top was magic. We also had pre-booked dinner at the Northern Lights Kitchen. This was buffet style and the food was ok, best part was the view. The restaurant is very busy and bookings are essential. Definitely recommend doing this activity if staying in Banff.
