The tour operators were nowhere in sight. We were told she would be dressed in blue and white and at the base of the steps. She was neither. We had to ask 3 other operators where she was before we found her!

The most memorable part was the lack of coordination and consistency with the communication from Viator. They changed our entry time once, then when we received the reminder the day before, it was changed back to the original time. When we arrived, the 3rd party provider told us the we were supposed to have been there at the first changed time. It would be good if Viator and their providers get their information straight and inform the users of the correct time.

We enjoyed the visit to the Borghese Gallery. There are no places to sit and rest. So you will be on your feet the whole time. So our self guided tour was perfect for us. Obtaining the tickets was disconcerting. We were to meet a person dressed in a white and blue uniform. Wrong! We waited, and there was no person. There was a person with a blue flag with white writing on it. To me, they looked like a regular tour guide with a group. We went over and inquired and correctly guessed because there was more than one.
The bathroom was clean but had poor air movement.
The cafeteria had good tasting food and pastries. We were able to relax.
Because of the rain that day, we did not tour the gardens. Their train that gives a quick tour had stopped running. It is worth the money and time if you like art and one of a kind collection.
We always double-check the availability with our local partners for each booking. Even though this is usually a swift process, it can take up to 24 hours. Once this process is completed you will receive your voucher or ticket by email. If our local partner is not able to confirm your booking we will offer you the best possible alternative. If the new date and/or time doesn’t fit your itinerary, we will reimburse the full amount paid.
