We visited on a sunny Saturday in September. Farr too crowded, they sell tickets with no thought of numbers. First there was a huge queue to buy tickets from just one ticket booth. When we got up the mountain it was like a shrine to consumerism, far too many retail and food outlets plus leisure activities (apparently a roller coaster in planned) . There was loud pop music blaring out from speakers which is not what people want in a natural area.
It was such a shame as I expect this was a beautiful place once upon a time and it has the otential to be so much better. It was great to see the birds of prey and their handlers were knowledgeable. We liked seeing the rescued grizzlies but I felt sorry for them having to put up with all the noise. It’s just Farr too commercialised for a natural space.
