We went on the sunset special (entry after 5:45pm). We got the blue lift to the half way point and then took the chair lift to the summit.
There is plenty of time to visit the top, have a meal and see the bears. At $29, compared to $84 to go during the day, I would highly recommend going at sunset. Much better value for money.
We also walked from the Capilano suspension bridge. Took about 50 minutes to do but isn’t a gentle walk - however a bus also connects both (number 236)

We visited during the summer when the weather was perfect. Take the ski lift all the way to the top to soak in the breathtaking views. There aren’t many food options, so if you’re like me and have specific food preferences, it’s a good idea to pack a snack. There are plenty of hiking trails and some really cool activities like the lumberjack and birds of prey shows. You can easily spend a few hours here. We even managed to squeeze in a visit to Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge on the same day!

A fun day out for parents and 17 year old. We took the gondola up, while the kid hiked “the grind”. If you hike you get the activities for only $20. The adults paid the Canadian resident rate of $69. Ski lifts, lumberjack show, bird shows. All fun. The views are fantastic. We spent the entire day here.
If you want to get up close to the grizzly bears be sure to be there before noon. They nap all afternoon.
