We offer more than just chocolate, Firstly, the chocolate tour begins with the cultural and biological background of cacao in Costa Rica. It further introduces into the collecting, fermenting, grinding and finally the making of chocolate, the drink of the gods. Secondly, we talk about coffee and its importance for Costa Rica's economic and cultural development. We have a showroom with important coffee picking instruments and a better explanation of the process of coffee production. We want to show you how to make Café-Chorreado, the real Costa Rican practice of preparing coffee. Amongst other sampling methods. Finally, we want to look at one of the most important aspects of Costarican culture and tradition, the trapiche. Here we grind sugar cane to extract the juice and make all kinds of local and delicious candy. This is for sure the sweetest tour in the area. We have recently added a MEDICINAL PLANTS GARDEN TO OUR EXPERIENCE AND A CHOCOLATE FACTORY

Just left this tour. Informative and in depth, we saw the process of cacao/cocoa from start to finish. Our guide, Sergio, was informative and friendly. The tour was hands-on and fun! Definitely check it out!

We didn’t know what to expect and had an absolutely wonderful time! Juan, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. It is a low impact experience (great for anyone with limited mobility) but very high reward - highly recommend! Our daughters (11 and 13) really enjoyed as well. Following the tour, we went to lunch at nearby restaurant and had a fantastic meal.

The tour was amazing. We learned so much about chocolate production, farming, and the benefits and history of chocolate. We had a tasting as well. There was coffee plants and vanilla plants as well. There was so much to learn and Juan was a great teacher. He is friendly and very personal. He answered lots of questions about Costa Rica culture and life here. The chocolate was incredible and so fresh. We love coffee and so tasting the freshly brewed traditional coffee was such a treat. I would give this tour 10 stars, you definitely have to do it. And a bonus was the way they planted the farm. Everything is organic with sustainable farming practices that helps the local biodiversity and environment. We even saw a few lizards. We ended the tour with a nice cocktail of Costa Rican rum and freshly squeezed sugar cane with lemon.
