Book at your own risk… had multiple glaring issues:
1. “ENGLISH SPEAKING GUIDE” … this was a “locals tourists only” tour!!!!
We were the only non English speaking guests and the guide knew about it and still spoke to the whole van in native language.. He even talked about Chichen Itza on the way there and we did not understand a single explanation.. He even stated “I’ll just tell you in English later because it’s difficult.” WWWHHAAATT!!!
2. TIGHT SPACE.. I’m 5’5 and my knees were pushed against the back of the seat in front of me the whole tour..which was uncomfortable. IMO, more seats were added to this van to haul more tourists.
3. Multiple stops to pick up more local tourists the longest was over 1 hour.. no explanation..BUT WAIT .. maybe they did say something.. we just didn’t understand it!!
What did we enjoy about this trip - SANTIAGO!! He was the ENGLISH speaking guide at Chichen Itza who was knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the Mayans, relevance of the different structures and much more!!
The 2 Cenotes - Ik Kil & Hubiku were also a very cool experience
