We cooperate with 2 families who are located 40 min drive from Nafplio in a mountainous village, 700 meters altitude. The village is one of the highlights in our region where locals hang out and where you can eat authentic , village food. One family has a restaurant-local tavern and the other one owns a home with a wooden oven.What we are going to do; We drink fresh water at the spring fountain at the village square while we do an introduction about this place. Continuing we drink a mountain tea with honey and a panoramic view of the mountains and the village.Afterwards aprons on and hands on , to start making 2 recipes :The famous Greek tzatziki and Gemista (Stuffed vegetables with sauce and rice) As soon as we finish you will walk just 5 min from the restaurant to meet the second 'chef'-housewife-Greek grandmother (yiayia in Greek)You are going to learn how to cook a cheese pie making your own phyllo and learning how to cook it in a wooden oven-Slow cooking-

    After of 45 min drive from Nafplio you will be in a mountainous village -700 meteres altitude.It's a place where locals hang out away from crowdy places and with authentic mountain Greek dishes. My family of 3 adults spent Orthodox Easter with the Grecopaths team. We had so much fun touring Argos and participating in the Easter feast and festivities. They are very professional, warm, caring and will custom design the day for you too.

First, special words to Stavroula: her sympathy, her profound knowledge of Greek ancient culture, her care before, during and after the tour and how well she handled and arranged alternatives to the original plan that had to be adjusted due to extreme high temperature that day. Thank you very much! We spent an amazing half day with Stavroula and all the so gentle people of of the village Kefalovriso who hosted us as family members, preparing a wonderful lunch only with local ingredients and showing us the village and its history and secrets. We had also the chance to taste different local olive oils and local wines as it was one of our requests. And finally, to hear how this project, Grecopaths, is supporting this remote village and its habitants is a source of inspiration that definitely worth to be experienced and supported.
