This was an incredible tour. We were able to see a lot of different things, and learn history and culture. Our tour guide, Grace, was very engaging and funny. She took care of everyone in the tour group and helped make the day very memorable. And spring for the crystal cable car.

This tour was a major disappointment. The only redeeming part of the day was the Big Buddha—impressive and worth seeing—but that’s something you can easily do on your own without this tour. The stop at Tai O fishing village was completely underwhelming. It’s portrayed as charming and historic, but in reality, it felt run-down and depressing. There was nothing scenic or worthwhile about this part of the tour. It felt like a filler stop, not something worth your time. Lunch was advertised as a local experience, but it turned out to be a bland plate of noodles and a single fried roll—hardly satisfying or memorable. Worse still, the tour does not include the ride back to the hotel or even the meeting area. You’re left to figure it out on your own, and expected to pay out of pocket for the cable car back to downtown. For the price of this tour, that’s unacceptable. Honestly, you’re far better off just booking a round-trip cable car ticket yourself to see the Buddha. You’ll save time, money, and avoid a very lackluster experience.

Grace did a great job of keeping our 40-person group together and directed to all the right places. But, it was crowded and the fishing village didn't merit the trip.
