Iquitos in the jungle 3 days - 2 nights all include

We visited Iquitos in December 2024 and hired the 3-day tour with Yakumama Amazon Tours. Although prices may seem a little high at first, we soon understood why: every detail of the service is designed to offer a safe, authentic and high-quality experience. In addition, we were told that some tours have discounts in certain seasons, so it is worth asking. What really surprised us was learning that Yakumama works in promoting the Amazon River alongside the regional government. Knowing that even state entities hire them, we understood that their reputation is well deserved. And we prove it: trained guides, well-organized activities and absolute respect for the natural and cultural environment.

En el mes de Julio, luego de haber hablado con Andres, efectue el pago por el paseo de tres dias/2 noches en el Amazonas. La exigencia fue pagar el monto total del paseo, me resulto extrano pero lo hice. Por causa mayor,dos semanas antes de nuestro viaje, me vi obligado a anular el viaje a Peru. Todas las empresas nos reintegraron el pago efectuado( Air France, Latam, Sam Travel Peru, Cruz Del Sur, Perurail, todos los hoteles y mas) La unica "empresa" que no esta dispuesta a reintegrar el pago efectuado es yacumama. Cuando le explique a Andres lo primero que me dijo es que el no decide pero supone que el reintegro sera parcial y que Blackford se pondra en contacto con nosotros. Luego de una semana e innumerables recordatorios de mi parte, la respuesta que me dieron es que no estan dispuestos a reintegrar el importe total o parcial del pago efectuado. La propuesta de ellos es que programe hasta el mes de Marzo (2024) mi proximo viaje y el pago efectuado sera parte del costo futuro. Le explique que en mi situacio no puedo programar ningun tipo de viaje, desde ese momento, Andres bloqueo mis llamados y Blackford se desentiende de mis mensajes. Lo que describi fueron los hechos. A mi entender una empresa que brinda servicios se tiene que destacar por un alto grado de integridad y disponibilidad. Yo me pregunto, cual seria la actitud de esta "empresa" si durante el viaje hubiese pasado un accidente? En mi modesta opinion, yakumama no mereceria formar parte de numerosas empesas Peruanas que brindan servicio al turismo. Yacumama no es confiable, recomiendo alejarse de ellos. Erez G.

I had the opportunity to take a 3-day tour into the Amazon jungle with Yakumama Tours and I can say it was an incredible experience. At first, I was a bit worried because I read some negative comments online, but after doing more research and talking to the agency, I realized that they were just picky comments or from people who were not prepared for adventure. From day one, the Yakumama Tours staff were very welcoming and attentive to all my needs. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and took me to amazing places that I would have never discovered on my own. The jungle accommodations were rustic but very comfortable and clean. During the tour, I had the opportunity to go on jungle hikes, canoeing on the rivers, observe wildlife in their natural habitat and learn about the culture of local communities. The food was delicious and there were always many options to choose from. I highly recommend Yakumama Tours to anyone looking for an authentic and exciting experience in the Amazon jungle. My experience was amazing and I would definitely book with them again on my next visit to Iquitos. As a tip for travelers, they have their own website where you can find good prices, I made my reservation here for security reasons, but for future visits, I will definitely book directly on their website.
