We booked this service twice while we were in Galway. The complaint I have is on the Viator end. I booked 3 months in advance of our trip, and had used my husband's credit card. You get automated messages feom Viator letting you know when the card will be charged, and you dont need to do anything else. I had forgotten that we had a fraud alert on my husband's card two weeks prior and had a new card shipped. So, when Viator went to run payment, yhe card was obviously declined. NO WORD from Viator notifying me the card was declined. They simply canceled the booking with no notice. The night before our firat booking, we contacted John King to confirm pick up times. That is when we discovered the cancellation. Mr King was wonderful! We paid him directly, and he was able to book Paul, one of his part time drivers. Paul was WONDERFUL! He made a suggestion to stop at a sheep farm on ourway to the Abbey, and made sure our family was able to shear a sheep, and all of us were able to feed the lambs as well. It was a fun opportunity for our city kids(ages 13-27). He gave us so much history of the area, told us of the famine walls. And he played his concertina for us as well! We had a great experience at Kylemore Abbey. The next tour was to the Cliffs. Again, great experience! Aidan was not as talkative as Paul, but again, gave us extra information, suggested two perfect stops along our route to see the sights, and get a family photo at the Burren. I highly recommend this company! When we go back, I will use them again. **Just keep your eyes on your bookings. Log in and make sure Viator hasn't canceled your reservation. They will not tell you.
