To start I will say the actual pickup was great. Driver was waiting for us with a sign, beautiful luxury van , he was very precise about the drop off ( we were at an Airbnb and it was hard to find. This was particularly nice as it was midnight and we would not wanted to be dropped off and had to then look for our place.)
So why the 3. Dealing with Viator. Our flight was delayed so I called their 24 hour number. The person was not helpful and I had to give her the phone numbers for the car company (they don’t have them?). When I arrived in Tokyo I still had not heard back from Viator so I phoned the car company directly and they said all was good for the pickup in Sapporo.i received an email from Viator after we were picked up stating the pickup was rearranged ... (?). They also said this change would result in a 20% extra charge. I booked 4 Viator tours on this trip and they are going to charge me 20% more for a delayed flight which I am sure happens all the time. Not sure I would use them again.
