Truffle hunting near Rome

We had the best day with Matteo and his team - definitely the highlight of our time in Rome. What a gem this entire experience is! My son adored the dogs and found some new dishes he likes! Matteo was kind and patient to answer questions and the hospitality was top notch - we fell in love with the region and left with open hearts (and full bellies). We hope to be back

I can’t recommend this experience enough. We were in Italy on our honeymoon for 2 weeks and this was the BEST experience. I can’t believe how little it costs for what you get! It’s 6-7 hours long (total experience), plus escaping the city, heading up into the mountains for breathtaking views, rides to & from the train station, learning about truffles & spending time with the adorable dogs, meeting people from around the world, AND THEN an amazing 7 course delicious meal afterward at Matteo’s beautiful home (made by Matteo featuring truffles), along with homemade wine ~so much wine~, and homemade aperitif! It’s an insane value for your money… Just the dinner alone is worth more. And it was a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget. Matteo is also very kind, knowledgeable and a great driver. And I just loved those dogs so much. They were quite well behaved and great at their job! I hope that when we return to Italy, Matteo is still offering this experience because we will without hesitation do it again. I’m so so happy we did this! Book it!!! I literally sought out a way to write a 5-star review for this since I purchased through his website directly. People need to know how great this experience is!

Beautiful experience, Matteo extremely helpful and kind. We made an interesting outing in the woods with Matteo and his beautiful dogs and then a great 7-course truffle meal. Super clean environment and quality food. We also met other people from other parts of the world, if you want to try a different experience from the many Matteo offers you something truly unique. For those who complain that the experience is in English , well he has to adapt to most of the language of the group but once he has finished the speech or explanation of a concept he repeats it in Italian to integrate everyone. It is a way to spend a different day in contact with nature seeing and doing things that would normally be difficult to see or do.
