Balneario Cachoeira do Castanho, Iranduba, State of Amazonas, Brazil We start around 8am from your hotel and drive west from Manaus for about one hour to the Castanho lake where our host will take you by motorized canoe (no cover typical slow amazonian transport) heading to the jungle where we’ll start a 2-3 hours hike to learn about Amazonian fauna and flora, like medicinal plants, jungle survival etc.
We can't promise you'll see animals because our jungle is very dense and most of our creatures are small, but we will try to show you as much as Mother Nature allows us.
(for this part of the tour you must wear long pants, closed toed shoes. Bring also a rain coat and insect repellent much needed during our wet season) 240 minutes
Balneario Cachoeira do Castanho, Iranduba, State of Amazonas, Brazil Now we ride to a platform where a project is held for protection and research about pink river dolphins, in this place we’ll have the unique opportunity to learn about these friendly beautiful creatures and enter the water to interact with them. (you must bring your swimming suits and towels) 60 minutes
Balneario Cachoeira do Castanho, Iranduba, State of Amazonas, Brazil We will have lunch at a floating house and relax before heading to the next activities.

Balneario Cachoeira do Castanho, Iranduba, State of Amazonas, Brazil During the wet season (March through August) we have the forests flooded and during the dry season we navigate through the small canals that are formed in the region.
Along this ride ride we search for a good spot to stop and fish for the famous and ferocious piranhas as we enjoy the beauty of the region.
(make sure you have a hat, rain coat, sunscreen and insect repellent). 120 minutes
Balneario Cachoeira do Castanho, Iranduba, State of Amazonas, Brazil We will search for a good spot to marvel the most beautiful sunset and see how the nature goes to sleep giving room for the creatures that wake up as the night falls.
Once the sun sets we go searching for the nocturnal creatures and with luck we can get really close to some of them like the caymans for instance.
(you can bring a flashlight for this moment).
We start heading back to Manaus around 7:30pm arriving to your hotel around 8:30pm when all you will want is a shower and bed ;) 180 minutes

This day was packed with great activities. As a regular traveler who does these kinds of things, this was way above average for sure.

Would HIGHLY recommend. The guide was a local resident. He was informative, patient, knowledgeable, and service oriented. The tour goes, in my opinion, in depth and scope of life in the jungle life. Tour started well before sun-up and after sun-down. Remember the mosquito repellent.

This tour is awesome and couldn't get better than this ! Special shout out to our tour guide Fabinho! a great guide who knows the jungle inside out. He really took care of us and making sure we were comfortable at every step. The lunch at the boathouse was awesome and is made fresh in camping style. Plenty of water provided...you'll need plenty too :).
Milton our tour operator was excellent and very knowledgeable, he picked and dropped us off from hotel. We were looking to buy some water bottle on our way back ..Milton was kind enough and provided us with extra water bottles. Overall a memorable experience with a great tour operator.
