The Hop On/Off bus is a great way to see the city and orient yourself with your surroundings. If you only have a short amount of time, I recommend the Red line. If you have more time the Blue and yellow were great too. The staff was helpful and pleasant.

Unfortunately, the buses only leave until 6 pm at the main stop! In such a big city as Milan it is a pity especially in summer where it is very hot before! So they booked the ticket for free! In the Viator app unfortunately no information about stops/map with departure points. At the smaller stops also no times, only scan code which shows but no times! Bad! Never again! Then book on site at the stop, as there are also different providers.

Compared to other hop on hop off in other cities, the one in Milano is definitely below average in quality. Here is why: - many plug ins for earphones are broken, sound quality and information is not great nor very interestingly done - time table is very irregular and buses tend to make 30mins breaks just out of nowhere at some stops (this happened twice to us), which costs a lot of time and we didn't know about as no one informed the passengers on board while we just continued to sit on the bus while the driver disappeared - most bus stops are not shaded, so you have to stand up to 30-40mins in the sun - the free app is very buggy and doesn't work very well - buses were quite dirty inside, lots of trash Definitely room to improve. Maybe the alternative tour bus operator is better, I don't know. Enjoy your stay in Milano!
