Tanzania Luxury Safari

We returned a few days ago from the third consecutive Serengeti safari with Savannah Explorers, after the great experiences of 2022 and 2023, always of a week and in the second half of July. Also this year we had a great time and we can confirm that Savannah offers everything you need to organize a perfect safari: prepared and motivated guides, Land Rover in very good condition (this year we had a brand new and really beautiful jeep) and systematically checked by their mechanics, an efficient office, ready to meet different needs (they designed us a tailor-made safari) and any emergencies (the Ethiopian Airlines had lost our hold luggage on the outbound trip and they recovered it, making it arrive at the facility where we were staying in the Serengeti after a few days). Our Guide was, as in the previous two years, Abia Simon, whom we now consider a friend and about whom we do not have enough superlatives: excellent knowledge of the Italian language, extraordinary observer of the nature of the Serengeti, who really knows how the streets of his home and passionate about his work. Our main goal was to see My Saves animals, lions: we saw some wonderful ones, perhaps among the most beautiful seen in our many stays in Africa, with National Geographic documentary sightings. Majestic and imposing adult males with spectacular mane, beautiful lionesses with their cubs, in different areas of the park, even the most remote and little frequented. We stayed at three different properties: one night at the Marera Mountain View Lodge in Karatu (owned by Savannah), three at the Signature Luxury Tented Safari Camp (Makoma Hills area) and the last three at the Kifaru Luxury Tented Lodge (Ikoma area, also this property is owned by Savannah). All excellent and comfortable. Little else to say: impeccable. Highly recommended.

Nous avons eu un excellent service avec le conseiller Samwel et nous avons fait un safari de 6 jours avec le guide d’expérience Thomas. Il était très attentionné à nos besoins et très bon pour trouver les animaux dans la savane. Le camion LandCruiser était moderne et lavé tous les jours. Nous recommandons cette compagnie sans hésitation.

Sono rimasta affascinata e stupefatta oltre ogni aspettativa. Il merito va sicuramente al luogo, verde e ricco ( dopo il periodo delle piogge ), al momento scelto ( clima mite e periodo di migrazione per gli erbivori ) e ovviamente agli animali. Daudi , la nostra guida, è stata in grado di valorizzare ogni aspetto, dandoci il tempo di goderne a pieno. Vorrei spendere qualche parola su di lui che in poco tempo ci è entrato nel cuore, con lui abbiamo passato momenti felici a ridere e scherzare, ma anche momenti più seri in cui si metteva a disposizione per rispondere alle nostre domande non sempre facili. Non basterebbero intere pagine per raccontare tutto, ma vorrei concludere dicendo che Daudi non ci ha fatto non solo 'vedere' l'africa, ma, per quanto possibile, ci ha fatto entrare nello spirito africano e per questo non smetterò mai di ringraziarlo. Un ultimo ringraziamento va ai vari staff dei Lodge dove abbiamo alloggiato, cordiali e disponibili, ci hanno accolto con professionalità e gentilezza, aiutandoci in qualsiasi situazione. Non potevo chiedere di meglio da questa vacanza. Grazie a tutti.
