Parque Omar is where we start our 2.5-hour foodie walking tour.  We’ll kick things off by visiting a juice stand for a drink made with some fresh seasonal fruits and veggies. You may be tasting passion fruit for the first time, but you will also taste the sweetest pineapple in the world. Next we'll stop at an open-air restaurant for appetizers based on traditional Panamanian food like carimañola and hojaldra. From there, meander through the neighborhood to arrive at a casual restaurant where we will taste some dishes inspired by Panama's diverse and influential immigrants -- think asian-style, braised pork belly with greens and white rice and flavorful, mediterranean grilled octopus (included). The tour concludes at a bakery owned and operated by a couple who met at cooking school, where they now apply new techniques to local ingredients to redefine Panamanian desserts like mamallena, which you get to sample.

    It is Panama City's answer to Central Park. Spanning nearly 124 acres, the former golf course was declared a public park in the 1970s by then-President Omar Torrijos. It was named after this president, who was also responsible for negotiating the treaty with President Jimmy Carter which finally gave full ownership of the Panama Canal and its territories to Panamanians in 1999. Today, it is where you’ll find family and friends exercising, picnicking, and relaxing.

Ana the owner lead our tour. Our tour started at Parque Omar. We enjoyed fresh tropical juice at the park then walked to a Panamanian breakfast. From there we went for coffee and pastries. Then a full lunch at one of San Francisco Barrió up and coming restaurants.

Ana was a fabulous guide. Knows so much about food. We learned a lot and ate great food. We’re residents and got to explore a different neighborhood. Definitely recommend

Warren was fantastic. I actually did both his tours on the same day and loved them both. The morning tour had such great food, and Warren was an attentive and engaging host. The juice to start was fab and it only got better. The afternoon old town happy hour tour had yummy cocktails and snacks. The last place with the vintage cars had the most delicious octopus dish. I really recommend these tours.
