Meet Chef Alma and begin your Cooking experience. This hands-on cooking takes place in the family home of Chef Alma. Chef Alma will share with you the best of her own family recipes, as well as the finest of the traditional Mexican dishes. Join us for a Mexican food cooking class; and delight yourself with the best of the Mexican flavors. You will hand make your own corn tortillas, learn cooking techniques and you will indulge yourself into the delicious and more representative dishes of the Mexican cuisine. Chef Alma was charming, experienced, knowledgeable and a joy to interact. She taught us a lot about the history of Playa de Carmel as well as about the dishes she was teaching us. The dishes and her instructions were simple enough that we could repeat at home. She sent us home with 43 of her family recipes. Definitely a hi-light of our trip..

Chef Alma was very friendly and a wonderful host and teacher. The food we made was delicious and came with a bit of Playa del Carmen and Mexican history. I'm excited to try the recipes at home! The only negative comment is the meeting point. It worked out fine and Chef Alma explained why but the taxi driver did not want to drop us off at an electronic supply store! It's ok - you'll be met there just like it says!

We decided to go to a true Mexican cooking class. It was amazing and we learned so much. We also ate what we cooked. I would definitely go again. Plus she shared some recipes with us.
