Pompeii is an amazing place - very big - make sure you have a whole day (maybe 2?) If you have young kids then the audio tour might be helpful - we had it, but honestly didn't use it at all - and the time we went (April 2023) we didn't need skip the line access either. If we hadn't had a 6 year old with us we might have upgraded to a guided tour.

We had a great guide who was knowledgeable about Pompeii and it’s surroundings. He took time to explain the city’s history as well as painted a clear picture of what liked in the bustling city was like. I also enjoyed how he worked in time for us to explore on our own and take pictures.

We took guide with Annalisa. She was excellent: knowledgeable, attentive to the group, answer questions and we enjoy a lot with her guide.
