What an amazing find, this authentic chocolate artisan experience was just what we were looking for. Family run, nestled not far off the main highway. Made our own bars right from start to finish, toured the garden the cocoa was frown in.

A featured tour just North of Puerto Vallarta the experience at Planeta Cacao is one of food, history and botany where guests are invited to learn all about Chocolate and its importance both now and in ancient times.
Notably a jungle experience complete with gravel paths and humidity, guests begin with a brief tour of gardens containing Cacao Pods while hearing about historic trade routes before the main event of making their own Chocolate.
Truly "farm to table," guests shelling their own Beans before repeat grindings using a hand mill, it is at the end that all are rewarded with freshly-made Chocolate complete with toppings and a sense of accomplishment.
