Absolutely excellent and worth the drive out of PV. The tour itself was informative and hands on with Leia being incredibly knowledgable about the history and culture of chocolate. The chocolate making itself was fun with cooking, peeling, and grinding the cocoa beans with several additions you can choose to add.
Most of all, Leia and her mother were exceptional with our two small children. They happily took our 4 month old so we could all experience the process hands on. Most of all they were excellent with our 3 year old keeping him engaged throughout the tour and making him laugh.
A unique family run experience. If you can do it you should!

This place is awesome! Not only do you get to see the various types of cacao trees and learn the history of chocolate, if you take the $25 workshop, you can roast, peel, grind, and blend your own chocolate delight. Tours are in both Spanish and English (and I believe I hear them say French and German as well).
There is a lot of sampling and time to ask questions. This is a MUST do on your next trip to Nayarit.
