Gelato making with Giordy, the owner, was an excellent family experience with our teens. The private kitchen at Elementi was gorgeous and clean, perfect for a private cooking lesson. Giordy, an award-winning chef, is passionate about his craft and prides himself on making gelato using all natural and seasonal ingredients. Giordy speaks Italian but arranged for a translator for the course in English. There was also a PowerPoint presentation in English. Lots of fun, we made 2 gelatos and 1 delicious sorbet, using seasonal peach-apricots. We toured the back kitchen, looked in freezers full of gelato and saw his front-end retail store before it opened for the day to customers. Very neat to go behind the scenes. He sent us home with extra gelato from the tasting, and we received an apron and certificate to keep. Nice touches. It’s also conveniently located, across from the gates to the historic Old Town.
