Come and visit us in our eighteenth-century Masseria, we will take you to discover the centuries-old olive trees, the stages of production of extra virgin olive oil and the ancient underground oil mill. We will discover together the history of the area, the peasant past of our Puglia and we will immerse ourselves in an expanse of centuries-old plants of unique beauty. We will create a guided tour of extra virgin olive oil tasting and we will learn to recognize the aromas and flavors of a quality extra virgin olive oil. We will thus be able to choose an excellent product, to preserve it carefully and to enhance it in the kitchen. In a nutshell: the entire oil production chain, from cultivation to bottled extra virgin olive oil, in a suggestive and authentic setting, which oscillates between past and present. The proposed visit experience takes place in a very small group, to better welcome guests and interact with them.

    The proposed experience is PRIVATE: the guests of the single booking have at their disposal a private tour with the Savoia staff, for the entire duration of the visit. What we will discover during the visit: - The territory: where we are, between ancient blades and majestic centuries-old olive trees. - How extra virgin olive oil is produced: comparison between the techniques of the present and the oil tradition of the past. - Tasting of extra virgin olive oil: professional tasting techniques. - How to store extra virgin olive oil (storage room). - The modern oil mill and the jewel of our tradition: the hypogeum.

  • Due to the access steps to the underground oil mill, the tour is not accessible to wheelchair users in some sections of the route. Also request a communication in case of pets to be included in the tour.

This was my first time taking an olive farm tour, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. I learned so much about the history of the farm and the fascinating process of making olive oil. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming, making the tour both educational and enjoyable. The grounds themselves are stunning, with olive trees that are over 2,000 years old, and the underground cave once used for pressing olives was such a unique part of the visit. The explanations about olive oil—how to taste, understand, and appreciate it—were clear and very helpful. I highly recommend making this a must-visit if you’re in the area!

Rosaria and our guide, who I unfortunately missed the name of, were great. Very knowledgeable, made the experience very welcoming and we learnt so much. The olive oil tasting was great and well explained, we loved it and ended up buying several gifts for family as the prices were so reasonable. We will not be buying bad olive oil ever again!

We had an excellent experience and tour of Savoia. It was very comprehensive, it covered the olive grove, the production facilities and there was an olive oil tasting. What was particularly interesting was the visit to the ancient olive oil cave. Rosaria was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and particularly accommodating of the two children with us. We really admired the facility they are developing. Would absolutely recommend.
