Horseback Riding Adventure Punta Cana

The Ranch is clean and well cared for, the horses were great and the first half of the excursion was lovely. It's a very scenic location, and the staff put a lot of thought and effort into setting up good pictures for those riders who decided to opt in to the photo package. The resting place at the end was a curious location, there was significant trash littering the area and it wasn't clear how long we were stopped and we weren't encouraged to do anything (swim, explore etc.) so we just stood around. On the way back we were routed through a landfill site. Luckily, it didn't smell, but it was hardly a scenic view for a tourist excursion. At the end we weren't offered the photo package so I never found out how much it was?! Would I recommend this tour - yes absolutely. It's the right length and a beautiful location, it just needs some tweaks to make it an even better experience. Thanks Rancho Caribeno!

I had the most incredible horseback riding experience in Punta Cana! From start to finish, everything was well-organized at a cute and welcoming place with clean bathrooms. The staff was so accommodating and treated us like family, making sure we were comfortable the entire time. Our guides, Rafa and Manny, were absolutely amazing—they made my birthday unforgettable! They took us on a breathtaking ride along a beautiful beach, making sure we had the best views and experiences. They even captured amazing pictures for just $15, and there were cute souvenirs like magnets available for purchase. If you’re looking for a fun, relaxing, and memorable horseback riding adventure, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

The first 35 minutes of the ride were on the beach and was beautiful - a 5 star rating. We then stopped at a local fishing spot for a 10 -15 minute break, which for my part wasn't necessary but we saw local fisherman with their catch so was interesting. We got back on our horses and most the way back was on roads, through construction sites, next to heaps and heaps of garbage - it was disgusting and definitely took away from the whole experience. That was a 1 start which is why I have 3 stars overall. It would have been better to repeat the same route back and avoid construction, paved roads and garbage. When you get back, they essentially force you to spend another 20-30 minutes buying stuff - pictures that they take and then souvenirs from a shop. We weren't interested and just sat waiting for the bus back to our hotel. I would have been less annoyed by that had we not just come through garbage dumps. The guides were very good with horses but very very limited English so there was no explaining anything as we rose. Fortunately a member of our group spoke Spanish and translated some of the more essential information. I felt completely safe with the 2 guides so that was positive. This is not an American trail ride with 1/2 dead horses. These horses were lively and we trotted/cantered off and on. Plus a few people wanted to gallop and one of the guides took those people off to the side to let them canter/gallop. In my experience, they never let you do that in the US.
