The tour was organized very well. There is a guide with the company as well as a local coffee guide. You take a walk throughout the city, and the local guides are very knowledgeable and answer any questions. It is about a 30-minute walk slightly uphill to get to the visiting coffee plantation where you learn a lot about the entire journey and the history of coffee roasting as well as a personal story of the local guide, who is a farmer as well. You end up at the farmer guide's house, where you can separate, filter, and roast the coffee beans yourself from scratch, and drink it. The coffee is fresh and delicious. Bring cash if you would like to support local farmers and buy their coffee. This company has a great partnership with local businesses and focuses heavily on supporting the surrounding Guatemalan community.
