    We start this guided tour from: - Your Hotel in Aguas Calientes (If you stay in this town on the previous night) - Train Station in Aguas Calientes (if you are on a day trip from Ollantaytambo or Cusco)
  • Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu, Peru
    Choose the departure time to suit your schedule – between early morning to early afternoon entry time (based on availability)– and meet your private guide at your Hotel or the Train Station in Aguas Calientes. Then, hop aboard your bus and take the short 25 min. journey up the hillside to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed site of Machu Picchu. Once there, head inside along with your Guide to explore the Inka Citadel of Machu Picchu and enjoy a complete guided tour of this amazing site (Guided Tour takes 2.5 – 3 hours approx) Your Guide will take you to the key sites including the Guard House viewpoint, the Main Temple, the Royal Tomb, the Sacred Plaza, the Temple of the Three Windows and son at your own pace.     My friends and I took the tour with Jackie. The best thing that could happen. She was so good that all our questions knew the answer. She is a Peruvian archaeology expert with experience doing everything and if it seems. I cannot recommend the tour with her anymore who was not only a good friend who also ate with us. The machu pichu tour was beautiful. 15/ 10 on the tour if I could repeat it I do it in a second. Thank you also to the handlers who were very friendly and all good people!

    My wife and I (mid 50s - English speaking from the US) took our first trip to Peru in August 2025. We selected Cusco Local Friend to provide guide services in Cusco for a half day tour, a full day tour of the Sacred Valley dropping us at the train station in Ollantaytambo, followed by a full day of touring at Machu Picchu. Pablo was our guide for all three days and Willie was our driver. They couldn't have done a better job taking care of us. Pablo was there on time the first day and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. His knowledge was extensive, made sure we had any questions answered, and spoke english very well. Willie made us feel perfectly safe even though Cusco has quite heavy traffic. When we arrived at the train station Pablo walked us right up to the train to be sure we knew where to board. On our day at Machu Picchu he met us at the hotel lobby (Sumaq), rode the bus with us to the top, hiked Wayna Picchu and guided us through two circuits, and brought us to the entrance of the Sanctuary Lodge so we could meet the group for the Hiram Bigham train. We had to make a few changes in our itinerary after our original planning, but Hugo at Cusco Local Friend was happy to modify anything needed to take care of us. Don't be hesitant to book with Cusco Local Friend. You won't be disappointed.

    Our first Machu Picchu experience was incredible, thanks to our guide Sam! He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, organized, and dedicated to making our experience perfect. We also hiked Huayna Picchu with the tour, which I highly recommend! The hike and the view were unbeatable! Thank you Sam for making our trip unforgettable! This was hands down the best tour company we have had while in Peru!
