On the tour, travel by 4x4 vehicle along trails that date back over a thousand years, from the time of the Arabs, towards the towering peaks of the nearby mountains north of the city. Reach an elevation of 2500 meters-8000 feet, for amazing views of the highest peaks in the Iberian peninsula, and enjoy a drink in a panoramic mountain hut. Explore the north face of the Sierra Nevadas to see the highest peaks on the Iberian Peninsula, climbing to heights of more than 3,000 meters, including the highest peak in the Iberian peninsula, Mulhacen which is named after one of the last kings of the Alhambra. Learn about the geology, biology and history of this region where Arabs, and Visigoths lived. Finally, visit a mountain hut where you can enjoy a typical Andalusian meal (costs not included).

Jaime was a brilliant guide. He showed us some fantastic views of the Sierra Nevada. There is lot of off road driving over some uneven terrain adding to the experience. It was great to sample some of the naturally growing herbs as well as tasting almonds off the tree. We stopped off for an enjoyable lunch up in the mountains, before heading back down to Granada. This trip is a must for anyone who enjoys breath-taking views.

Great day out. Stunning scenery. Very informative guide Jamie - he was excellent. 6 hour tour promised was 7.5 hours long. Time flew. I would do this again in a heartbeat. Strongly recommend.

When we booked this we were looking for a one day tour of the Sierra Nevada to experience locations we would otherwise not find or be able to access on our own and to gain knowledge of the flora, geology and history of the area. This was asking a lot of any tour but Jaime ensured that all of this was achieved in an engaging, knowledgeable & entertaining way. This has been a real highlight in our tour of Andalucia and we would certainly have no hesitation in recommending Jaime and this tour.
