From 1870 to 1945, Alsace was a major war zone between France and Germany. Through this circuit, we will discover the history of Alsatians once German, once French. We will discover remnants of these wars and will make a visit to Struthof (concentration camp at 900 meters altitude), concentration camp of Nazi Germany. For a bit of lightness, we will push our end of the circuit on one of the most beautiful panoramas of Alsace and Christian Mont Saint Odile. It is important to have a waterproof jacket depending on the weather. Description written in English on all sites. Mickael was great, the only problem was that the Struthof concentration camp site was closed on Mondays, apparently a new schedule change. But we pivoted and visited two memorials instead. Highly recommend this very personalized trip.

Très instructif sur l'histoire de l'Alsace pendant la deuxième guerre du 20e siècle. Mickaël était un très bon guide et très sympathique.

Un lieu de mémoire incontournable pour expliquer la barbarie nazie à nos enfants. Un contenu intéressant. Des vestiges très parlants. Des preuves inoubliables (four crématoire, chambre à gaz, salles de torture). Mais cela a été gâché par notre guide qui débitait un texte appris par cœur, bourré de fautes de syntaxe et de vocabulaire et manquant de détails sinistres (comme nous en avions eus lors de nos visites précédentes). Prendre tout de même la visite guidée (durée : 1h30)
