In a small and friendly group, partake in a sensational visit of 2 wineries of Archanes area. Visit first a new and dynamic boutique winery. Visit the facilities, from production area to bottling area, cellars with the winemakers explainign about wine process and technics. This will be followed by a wine tasting with a sample of 5 wines representing some of the most interesting local grapes varietals. Move then to a multi awarded winery for another 5 wine sample tasting. Before lunch, in the restaurant, discover about extra virgin olive oil tasting and other traditional products like honey, marmelades, vinegars,... A really well planned out and enjoyable day in the wine region of Heraklion. We visited 2 wineries, touring the winery and sampling many many wines (with snacks of cheese, salads and breads to soak it up!). We then headed to the village of Archanes, to taste olive oil and enjoy a delicious 4 course meal accompanied by another 5 wines! We would highly recommend this tour, but don’t expect to stay sober!

Great visit of two wineries. Small group of 4. Peter, the guide, explained all about Crete/Greeks wines. He is passionate about wines, very nice and took great care of us. We also had a great lunch with wine pairing. I highly recommend this tour to everyone who wants to discover Crete wines, olive oil and also local honey.
