Good way to see the city of Montréal . Get a handle on all the points of interest and hear the history. From there take second day to go back to specific locations. All your guides were exceptional. Buses were on time.

We booked Holiday Inn because it was near stop 1. It was going to be a hot day so we got an early start and got to stop 1 at 10:15 Busses were supposed to run every 15 minutes At 11:15 still no bus . About 11:30 a Grayline hop on hop ff employee showed up and said Stop 1 was closed because of traffic . So she walked us to stop 3. A bus showed up a stop 3 30 minutes later going the wrong direction but let us on anyway
We made it through about 3 stops and started going up a hill and the old bus couldn’t make it up the hill. So about 20 of us had to get off to lighten the load . We walked up the hill and across the street and got back on the bus.
About 3 blocks later the driver stopped the bus and we were told everyone inside the lower part had to get off because the bus wouldn’t make it up the next hill and they had called another bus to pick us up . About that time another double decker bus showed up and most of the people got on that one . My wife and I waited for the next bus that was promised to be air conditioned . It turned out to be a large tour but with a great driver. We were in the front seat with a great view and the only people on the bus for most of a full route.
The other problem with the Montreal Hop On Hop Off us route is that none of the stops are marked due to city regulations. So if there is not a Grayline employee at the stop you have no way of knowing where it is . They need to publish the street addresses of the stops . Maps are available but stop locations are vague .

We love to do a tour bus on the first day when we arrive in a new city because it really orients us and gives us ideas of what to do on the following days. This tour was great for that. We ended up taking it on its full route twice on two different days. Both tour guides were excellent and provided different color commentary, which was so interesting.
Also, we had an extenuating circumstance and the management was very kind and flexible.
I highly recommend taking this tour!
