We spent two weeks in Florence and Sorrento, and this was our favorite activity of the entire trip! AnnaMaria’s son Luigi picked us up from our Sorrento hotel and drove us to their garden/farm in the hills above Sorrento. He then gave us a tour of their property, describing their vegetables, herbs and fruit trees. Next we saw their animals, including rabbits, chickens (with freshly-laid eggs) and pigs. Then we met AnnaMaria, and she could not have been kinder or more hospitable to us. She made us feel like family as she led us through the preparation of lemon panna cotta, ravioli, fettuccine, eggplant parmigiana and sea bass. We laughed and drank our way together through the entire meal prep, then we enjoyed our meal…which was easily the best we had during our trip. Special thanks to AnnaMaria and Luigi for the most enjoyable day of our stay in Italy!
