This was a VERY funny experience. €60 for the two of us for a trip on the ring road of Amsterdam. We got told in the tourist office the bus stop was a quick five minute walk away and was well signposted. It was not! Took us a good hour to find a stop and when we got on none of the headphone jacks worked without having to contort yourself in a strange position. The tour guide audio was creepy, as was the music that intermittently played every few minutes. We were both spooked by a random loud noise that played every now and then. I didn’t learn much about Amsterdam apart from the contents of the Hard Rock Cafe (Shakira’s t-shirt, apparently!). Every stop seemed to be an advert and for some reason they were really pushing the Diamond museum (which is currently closed??). Honestly it was absolute crap but really, really funny to look back on. I would recommend if you have money to burn and low expectations to

With limited time in this beautiful city the bus was an excellent way to see the prominent sites from the land. We then gained a different perspective from a canal boat. This is a good combination when visiting Amsterdam.

The bus is boring. The boat was very good. We got to see a lot more of Amsterdam from the boat than the bus
