Pick up smack on time as promised at our villa and a personal greeting from chef Bagus on arrival. Juice and glutinous rice balls were a great way to start the morning while we waited for the rest of the class to arrive. A total of 12 dishes were done as part of the class and we got to taste at various stages thought the morning. Chef Bagus is obviously a skilled chef but he is also a great entertainer and knows how to engage a crowd to create a fun, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The class culminated in a lunch which comprised the 12 dishes which were recipes for the class. I learnt some new tricks and got some great tips which I will take away with me as I will definitely be trying all 12 recipes at home over time. If I had one criticism is that is not really a 100% hands on cooking class. This is not an issue, but if you want/expect a class where you are doing all the chopping, crushing and measuring etc and cooking a dish from scratch by yourself you may be disappointed.
