The cooking class in Fes was terrific! I took the class with a friend & we both loved the overall experience. Thoroughly recommend it. Our host Rabab was great, she first took us through the old souk to buy all the fresh ingredients for the cooking class. I found it very interesting going with a local, I really enjoyed the lively atmosphere in the market and being able to ask Rabab questions about some foods I saw in the market (that were new to me) as we went along.
The cooking class itself was very well organised & set up in a beautiful courtyard with tiled fountain and orange tree. It was lovely doing the class in such a beautiful, traditional outdoor space. We had a totally hands-on experience of preparing all the Moroccan recipes we made during the class. Our chef Naim taught us well in teamwork with Rabab translating. After a fun morning of cooking, my friend and I sat in the courtyard to eat the salads, tajin dishes and the dessert we’d made in class - it was such a great lunch - everything we’d made was really delicious, actually it tasted extra delicious because it was so freshly made!
Since the cooking class I’ve bought a tajin in the market and look forward to now making the dishes at home.
I’m so glad I spent a 1/2 day of my holiday time in Morocco doing this cooking class in Fes, it was fun, relaxing, the food we made was delicious and great to learn a new skill.
