    For this Semi-Private Gelato Making Class you will meet local gelato experts at one of Florence's (and Italy's) oldest Italian Gelato Academy, a family owned and run establishment known for its exceptional artisanal gelato. You will be learning from the real pros in the field! In this one hour class you will learn all the secrets, all the ingredients and their dosages, and what makes gelato different from ice cream. Then you get to put all that you've learned into practice by making your very own gelato flavour from scratch! But it doesn't end here...While your gelato churns away, go behind the counter and learn how to serve and scoop gelato like a real pro! It doesn't get more fun than this. Or at least not until you get to taste your handy work and eat your very own made gelato! Now that's a skill you won't forget and are sure to show off to your guests at home!

You cannot miss this experience!! Tulio is truly one of a kind, SO very knowledgeable, engaging (to my teens, as well as us parents), and the gelato was perfection! This was more than just gelato making... it was a history of gelato, the science of true gelato making, hands on experience of making two kinds (chocolate gelato and strawberry sorbet)... all the while getting to experience Tulio's humor! The class took place in the back kitchen of his gelato store, across the street from his restaurant. Really a super fun, not-to-be-missed experience.

We actually did the private Gelato making experience. It was just us with the master of Gelato, Tulio Bondi at his famous Gelato store, Gelati del Bondi in Florence! It was definitely a HUGE highlight of our time in Florence. Learning the art of Gelato making from a person so passionate about his craft (he’s been making Gelato for 41 years!!). We couldn’t have wished for a better experience. It was a hands on gelato making experience with lots of fun chats and photos! And we got to be the chief taste testers (as in we ate as much as we were able to) of the gelato we made! HUGE thank you to Tulio! We loved this so much! Such a special memory on our honeymoon!

Sig, Bondi is a masterful gelato maker and showman. The class was educational, lots of fun and our time flew by. His recipe and insights into gelato will make for lots of gelato at home. And LivTours made the booking simple.
