A full day overview of the great variety and quality of Burgundy wines visiting four different wineries. You will follow the Burgundy wine route and also take you through some backroads. On this one day tour you will focus on Cote de Nuits and Cote de Beaune, but also touch on the Cote Challonaise. Along the way you will enjoy beautiful panoramas and drive through many storybook villages. The listing of wineries can vary per tour and is meant as an example only.

Our experience with Pieter was absolutely fantastic. We spent a full day exploring four tasting rooms, vineyards and had a lovely lunch. Pieter is very knowledgeable about both the region and the region’s deep wine history. Highly recommend this experience to anyone who loves wine — whether you are a novice or wine connoisseur, this experience is for you!

This was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Pieter Smits, who operates the tour, is a true expert and curates the tasting both before and along the way as he learns more about your interests and experience level. The full day tour included four different tasting sites with a wide range of producers and vendors, from negociant to small volume producer to specialty caveau, with personal touches from staff and/or owners at each site. In particular, Damien at Philippe LeClerc in Gevrey-Chambertin and François at Le Caveau à Auxey in Auxey-Duresses took the time to explain in detail which vineyards and plots each wine came from and shared their vast knowledge and passion with us during our visits. Pieter also took us to see many of the vineyards and other sites over a wide range of the most important areas in Burgundy. He arranges shipping for the bottles that you purchase and follows up to ensure that everything works out. I will be recommending this to everyone I know who is going to France, and I am hoping to do his tour of Alsace when I later visit Strasbourg.
