Private Day Trip to Chefchaouen

Horrible service by Heritage Morocco Tours! They did not fulfill our agreement as per our emails and the information emailed to me prior. Then wanted to argue about it during the start of the tour. I almost had them turn around and drive us back the 3+ hours. It was not the driver's fault, he was stuck in the middle. I had requested 2 tours with this Private Day Trip to Chefchaouen being the 2nd day. We were picked up on time and began the lengthy 3 hour+ drive from Fez. The vehicle was clean and the scenery lovely. The driver spoke very little English although I had requested an English speaking guide. AND a tour of the city; hoping to get a bit of history. Our driver was on the phone a lot near the end of the trip and we discovered that he was trying to secure a guide for our arrival. Which would cost us extra! Never mind that I had emailed multiple times to ensure that the 180 euro included the English guide in town as well. The driver phoned the tour operator after we arrived because I was not happy and said I would not pay extra for a guide since I had the email to prove that it was supposed to be included. The tour operator tried to blame me, stating that it was not in his last email, only in the first two. (What?!) So we were dumped off at a Chefchaouen parking lot which was fine at that point since our driver did not speak English, I was a bit peeved and we wandered around by ourselves and saw blue doors, blue walls, blue everything. But according to the tour sheet that they had emailed me, we did not see 1/2 of the things stated in their "tour". I guess you were supposed to seek these out yourself by walking up the mountain and knowing where all these sights are? We were supposed to meet the driver at the end of our afternoon at a certain hotel for a late lunch. Little did we know, it's all set up like that with a really lousy buffet with every other tourist in town. Had we known, we would have eaten at one of the charming cafes in town! The whole day was a set up, very disappointing that what they say they will provide is not on their actual agenda. The city medina is lovely, and I got some nice photos. It was on my bucket-list, something I had been looking forward to for years, but with such a long and twisty drive of over 7 hours that day and having the tour company not follow through with our agreement, I wish we would have skipped it. Not worth the time or money! We should have known after our first day's tour of the Fez Medina with this "tour" company!

We used the services of heritage Morocco tours for an excursion to chefchaouen: the driver was at time @our hotel, he speaks English and French so my kids didn’t have a problem during the trip to understand him, driving from Fez was a little bit long but worth it

Our driver Abdel Kader was very kind. During the trip we chat and he explained us a lot about Morocco. He took us wonderful pictures and made some stops to take pictures of the wonderful landscape. He also took us to drink the best coffee.
