We booked this tour under the impression of the title we would see Christmas Markets. Paul reached out to see if he could move us to the afternoon because he was busy. I said no because we had a plane to catch in the evening and didn’t want to push it. Paul nor his tour description disclose that the markets are not open in the morning! Unbeknownst to us, we were heading to meet him and the address given took us somewhere else. I reached out to him to explain and ask where we could meet him 10 minutes later to catch up with the group but he never responded. (Now after reading other reviews, I’m wondering if he even showed up or had a guide that did not show anything representing this tour) We ended up hitting the markets on our own and requested some sort of refund which Paul refused, blaming our driver that took us to the wrong address. When I pointed out that we wanted to meet up wherever they would be in 10 minutes, he ignored that but instead said that we shouldn’t have expected a group of 12 to wait. That was never requested!!! We asked to meet them where they would be. Also we had 4 people in our group so it would’ve been nice for him to reach out to see if we were coming when we didn’t show up but like I said before, he tried to switch our time and now I’m not certain he was even there. I kept giving him chances to offer any kind of refund saying if he made it right I would leave a positive review instead of a poor review. His response to that was that he already reached out to Viator and Trip Advisor to tell them of the situation also advising this was “against the law”. I’m pretty sure when you have a bad experience, you can leave a poor review! That’s what Judge Judy would say! In any case, I hope this helps to prevent someone else from having a poor experience with Paul. Good luck if you choose to ignore the warning!

Tour operator tried to change our time to an afternoon to accommodate his “busy Christmas schedule”. Our Uber took us to meet up place but it was inaccurate. Tour guide later said he warns people about that (I never received that warning). I reached out to see where we could meet him 10 minutes later to catch up with group and he did not respond (while he was quick to respond every other correspondence). Given that, we requested a refund of some sort and he has refused. Also beware that the markets are not open for the morning tours which we were also not alerted of. I would highly consider choosing a different tour and definitely confirm market hours if you’re going for them. Good luck if you go with Paul!
We always double-check the availability with our local partners for each booking. Even though this is usually a swift process, it can take up to 24 hours. Once this process is completed you will receive your voucher or ticket by email. If our local partner is not able to confirm your booking we will offer you the best possible alternative. If the new date and/or time doesn’t fit your itinerary, we will reimburse the full amount paid.
