Things started off bad in my experience when I could not properly confirm event prior to attendance. Trip Advisor sent me a confirm to number that gave no prompt or option to confirm. So, I sent an email in a pseudo attempt to confirm since there was no other way to contact trip advisor which tends to be a stealth company after they take money from clients. Arriving at the site in NY to meet the tour guide was just as bad. The guide was clueless and had my group assigned to the Edge (wtf is the Edge) and nothing else. I showed him the proof of payment and details of the travel package but it meant nothing. The Edge was crap and not listed as part of the trip. We had to pay cab fair that was not expected, had to get a 7 year old child from the UK vaccinated which also was not stated as a need by Trip Advisor prior. We were walking for hours to find a pharmacy in MY that would vaccinate the child without an appointment. WTF?!! We're not from NY, but luckily some amazing, friendly New Yorkers helped us find a place to vaccinate the child so that we could enter the EDGE which was NOT LISTED AS AN EVENT in the sight seeing package. By that time it was late. We had to pay for a cab to return us to our start point and the ferry tour had closed for the day. We are trying to get a refund for a wasted pre Christmas experience. But as expected Trip Advisor is in its stealth mode hiding away because they do not intend to refund. Never again Trip Advisor!
