I was in Rome for a week and was able to communicate with minimal Italian however this driver knew little to no English. We needed him to meet us at an alternate entrance in order to avoid walking up 60 stairs and he would not budge. The hotel attendant needed to come out and talk with him. He still was resisting to be willing to chabge the route (around the block) to help. I was pleading and finally he agreed.
Then when we made it to the alternate entrance he wasn't willing to help with our luggage but rather was frustrated.

Unfortunately, cannot recommend this company and would NOT use again.
I booked a private airport transfer for EARLY (2:45am) on a Saturday morning. I was a woman (and tourist) traveling alone. The driver was on time and respectful, and we had no problems during the transfer.
However, upon arrival at the airport, he told me that to pay with credit card is 10 euros more than the advertised price in my confirmation (which clearly indicated I'd opted in advance to pay with credit card). I let him know that my documents do not show that anywhere and showed him my confirmation. He then agreed to charge 60 euros as advertised.
However, THEN he asked for cash because the payment system wasn’t loading on his phone. I let him know I don’t have cash (I’m leaving the EU) and had specifically and intentionally opted during booking for credit card payment. He went on to suggest - twice - that I go to the ATM at the airport, and I twice declined. I didn’t want to get more cash and get charged ATM fees (since I was leaving) just because the business payment system isn’t working. While I’m sympathetic, that’s not my responsibility.
I let him know I’m glad to pay online if the transfer company wants to send me some kind of secure link via email. He then tried to send me a personal email from his personal email account (with no payment link that I could see), which I was not comfortable with and would still not allow me to pay a business.
I offered to pay via credit card later once the system was working again, and he agreed. I reassured him his company has all my information to contact me and that I’m not trying to avoid paying. I tried to tip him for his assistance, but he declined.
He has since sent me a payment link, however it seems to be paying him personally through SumUp, rather than the business. I travel quite a bit, and this seems unusual to me. He's sent multiple messages requesting that I pay him through this app. I reached out to customer service twice to make them aware of these issues (the overcharging, asking for cash, etc.) and requested feedback whether this is typical, but despite getting an auto-response acknowledgment that my emails were received and would be answered during business hours, I received no response from them. While the transfer itself was fine, the credit card payment process was very unprofessional.
