I want to make everybody aware to stay away from any car rental with Europcar Rental Company. They are bunch of thieves starting with duty manager FELIX LAGUNES PEREZ. I made a reservation through Travelocity and insured the rental car and flights. While picking up the car at the Cancun airport, Europcar employee Jairo Vadillo told me that the insurance coverage I purchased it was not valid for them and I needed to purchase theirs (Europcar) insurance otherwise they were not going to give me a car. I did not have any other choice but to accept their conditions otherwise we were going to be without transportation for the whole week of our staying at the Riviera Maya. Unfortunately, we have a minor accident striking a curb and as a result we a blew out tire and damaged to a rim. I reported the incident and Europcar instead sending an insurance adjuster, they sent two car wash employees to pick up the car and transport us back to their headquarters. Upon arrival to Europcar rental location my wife and I were approached by the biggest thief of Europcar rental FELIX LAGUNES PEREZ, who at the time was ripping off another client charging her $1200 MX pesos for two litters of gas she failed to put in her rental car upon returning it. About five minutes of waiting, the biggest "CROOK" FELIX LAGUNES PEREZ told us that his mechanic had evaluated the damages and that I need it pay him $800.00 US dollars for the damages. I was completely surprised because as I told FELIX LAGUNES PEREZ "The biggest THIEF". That I had the car insured. Therefore, I should not had to pay for any damages, which he replied "No sir the policy coverage you chose doe not cover the damages of the vehicle". I told him first of all, I did not choose any insurance coverage with them because when I made the reservation with Travelocity I had the car insured. I also informed him that it was his employee who suggested me that I need it that insurance coverage to have a piece of mind in case of an accident. THE BIGGEST "THIEF" FELIX LAGUNES PEREZ refused to accept the insurance coverage they sold me for almost $500.00 dollars for the entire week of the rental stating "If you don't pay the $800.00 now we are going to take it from your deposit (Which it was $900.00 ) they (Europcar) retained from my credit card for the damages, one way or another we are going to collect that money. I begged to this "THIEF" to be reasonable but, he did not care at all. FELIX LAGUNES PEREZ "THE BIGGEST THIEF" ended up telling me "You have told me, you purchased insurance through Travelocity right? if that is the case I will give a receipt stating that you paid $800.00 US dollars for the damages and you submit a claim to them when you get back home, and they will give you your money back. I know this because I did it before, the insurance company will contact me and I will tell them that you paid that money for the damages". Ever since my wife and I got back home in the states, I have been begging to Travelocity to make justice and have Europcar refund me all my money back. Unfortunately, Travelocity are the second BIGGEST THIEVES with license to get our business and then ignore us when you contact them to have them make this situation right. They will not give you any support to get you your money back nor contacting THE THIEVES who took your monry, instead they appaluded and continued doing business with that they call them suppliers.
Dear Travelers do yourselves a favor avoiding these "THIEVES, EUROPCAR and TRAVELOCITY" DON'T GIVE THEM ANY CHANCE TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND SHARE IT WITH THEIR MOB MEMBERS.
