I went on this tour today and I was extremely disappointed but the service from the company was even worse.
Our tour guide, Maria, really was not up to scratch.
When we arrived she was friendly and I thought the tour was going to be fantastic but within about 3-4 minutes I could already tell she was there just to show up and leave. She offered minimal information and didn't know the answer to basic questions like "how big Is Italica?" . She was also ill - coughing all the time - which is very

She missed out key details to get through the tour quicker, e.g. I asked if a mosaic was Medusa and she said "yes, you're right. That is one of the most important mosaics". Overall she just didn't build any rapport with us at all. Between sections of Italica she just walked in silence until I asked a question. Then she would give a very basic answer.
The entire "2 hour tour" lasted 55 minutes. At the end there was an exhibition with a film about the sight and some explanations. She just left us there and said goodbye. This would really have enhanced the visit.
When I messaged the company to tell them about my experience (I didn't ask for a refund or any compensation), Miguel replied saying that he was at Italica that day, and that he "verifies" the tour lasted more than 1 hour 30 minutes". Which is curious as I have an Uber receipt that shows that I was on my way back to Seville 1h3m after arriving. I was in Seville centre 1h20m after starting so the tour did not "last more than 1 hour 30 minutes". He straight up lied but little did he know I have a log of the journey. I have sent him this screenshot.
I wanted to contact the company privately before posting as I know how important feedback is (I own a private tour company in Europe). This was an opportunity to acknowledge what happened. Instead Miguel lied and then accused me of cutting off the guide and trying to control the tour. The only thing I cut off was the silence of the guide! He said I was trying to cause harm to the company when I was only giving him feedback. Can you ever imagine a company being this rude? Absolutely shocking customer service.
I paid a premium for a private tour and this was the worst I've ever had. We did 5 tours in our time in Andalusia and this one was shocking.
I ALSO absolutely CANNOT recommend this company - please do not spend your hard-earned money with them.
Finally, I don't believe the guide was licensed. I believe this sight does not need a licensed guide but a licensed guide would NEVER act this way. What a contrast to our amazing licensed guides throughout Spain.
