Do NOT hire from Goldcar under any circumstance. I have used them in the past but NEVER again. I had a dispute with them from a previous hire but hired again due to price. I paid for hire in advance but when I went to collect the car I was told I owed them money for damage from a previous hire. After a discussion I decided that I would pay money (although I disagreed with them) so that I could start my holiday. They refused to accept my credit card and I was told to contact their office. I asked if they could do it for me and was told "no" and given an email address . When I contacted the office I received a reply in Spanish which I Google Translated. The reply thanked me for contacting them and hoped to be in touch within 14 days. I returned to their desk and explained to the manager that I would pay but again was refused. Customer service is non-existent. All this is due to fact that I did not take out their expensive insurance when hiring previously. I am certain they were waiting for me to return car and I also think that consequent hirers of that car were conned the way they tried to con me
