Mexico Private Food Tour With Locals Including 10 Tastings

This tour is awesome and great if you only have a short time in Mexico City. I got to try so many wonderful foods and learn so much culture from the host of the tour. Luce was a very nice lady and I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet her. Seeing the architecture and the street dance parties, and of course, tasting all the food was amazing. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience real Mexican food and culture, oh and make sure you go hungry.

This was a fun and informative food and history tour! We got to try some traditional al pastor, churros, basket tacos, and more. Things that we would have had a hard time finding on our own and that we thoroughly enjoyed. We stopped at a total of 5 restaurants, trying a dish or two and an optional drink from all of them. The drink options at most stops were limited to water and sodas. The hot weather made one of the restaurants a bit uncomfortable to stay in (busy restaurant, steam from cooking, hot already!) but otherwise we had a great time and enjoyed all of them. We also learned some fun history of the city, different buildings, and got to go into a few on the way that we never would have thought to visit.

Difficulty getting vouchers. Never did the tour. We were caught in traffic due to an accident. We kept texting the LOCAL SUPPORT TEAM. No response. We tried to call but couldnt get through. We arrived 40 min. late and of course no one was waiting. We were still charged the full amount. I even requested a credit or 1/2 a refund to no avail. No flexibilty. If I am going to be charged the full amount the guide should have to wait the entire time. This is the note I sent, along with the copy of the texts sent to the local support team that is no help what so ever. First of all, we had continual difficulty in downloading the tickets in the USA as well as Mexico. We kept receiving error messages. We had to contact the Viator number on the first night of our arrival, lovely way to start a vacation. We were on the phone for approximately 30 minutes. Secondly,I had no contact information other then the email that I had reached out to while trying to contact the tour guide. Being the “Local support Team” I would have thought that you’d be able to assist me as well as your tour guide, Luz. The cab ride was to take 40 minutes but due to an accident it was 1:30. That’s why I reached out to the LOCAL SUPPORT TEAM multiple times. We would have been happy to have had a shorter tour as I had mentioned in my multiple texts to the Local SUPPORT TEAM. No one answered until the next day. We never heard from Luz until we got back to the hotel and my “What’s app” showed a message from her at 301pm and again at 330pm. She had not contacted me previously , until the designated time of the tour. I didn’t have wifi in the taxi. I would like to receive a credit to my credit card or a voucher for a future tour on Viator for the amount of the tour $192.70. To pay for something that was out of our control and we had no one helping us is unjustified. This is there response: Thank you for your patience.
