We had a great ski trip at Sauze D'oulx for the week, when done we, 12 in total parents and kids arrived at Torino departure area checkin desk. We were going since 5am transfer for an 11am flight. The lady at the Chekin desk (A5) was amazing, and sorted our checkin with superb efficiency, she has us all checked in and bags loaded in 5 minutes. ????
We then made our way through passport control. Then to Gate 3. We were flying with Tui Airways. The flight was delayed by 2 hours and....There were no seats to sit on. 12 members of my young family and friends had to sit on the dirty floor, as two hours was too long to stand. All other passengers were expected to stand or sit on the floor.. We approached one of the staff,, and his response was" that is how the airport was designed"!!! What organising would it have taken Torino Airport Authority to provide seats....Flight waiting areas to, Birmingham, Manchester and other destinations were all provided with some seating. The "Irish flight" waiting area was provided with none. Is this because the Italian airport believe the Irish won't complain and put up with the shoddy service provided. In the current Covid pandemic it is not sanitary to sit on floors waiting for flights. Shame on you Torino Airport Authority......
