If there are bad weather conditions (such as fog, frozen water, or stormy conditions) on the day of your transfer, you will be diverted via Piazzale Roma by vehicle

Due to the Hotel Marriot location (Isola delle Rose), transfer to/from this Hotel are subjected to a surcharge of €20, payable on spot

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Super easy to book online and the local and Viator contacts were very helpful and promptly answered my questions through chat. We were staying at a private apartment. On the date of the departure someone met us at the door and coordinated with the driver of the boat who arrived right on time. It was outstanding door to airport service, the ride was fast, and the service was friendly and impeccable. Plus there is nothing more beautiful than traveling to the airport via water.

The description is misleading. While the water taxi was fine these are points know.
1. There is no Porter service to the water taxi. When booking and with several reconfirming phone calls to the provider prior to leaving the United States and once, a week before departure, date, I was told for the 3 am water taxi to the airport that we would be met in the lobby of the hotel at 2:45 am by driver. I asked if he would help us with our luggage over the bridge. The answer was yes and for me to reconfirm the tour no later than 2 days before. When I did the provider said a conformation would be sent to our hotel by 3pm the day before our time of departure. It was sent and the instructions were to be at the dock at 3pm. There are 1,000’s of docks in Venice! When I asked which one they all of a sudden didn’t understand English, they had communicated in English every other time, so I had them speak to the front desk. They gave her instructions there would be no one meeting us in lobby and they would not provide luggage assistance! This was 11 hours before departure. The hotel said this was not the first time this has happened to their guests. The hotel was very helpful and got us a porter to come to the hotel and take our luggage and go to the area of several docks to wait. This was after a 60Euro charge on top of $554.00 charge for the water taxi! I would not recommend.this tour to any one.
2. Bad communication. A bait and switch at the last minute.
3.. They never once in communicating to me told me someone was going to meet us at the airport dock to drive us the 20 minute walk from the dock to the airport. This was a pleasant surprise!
In closing all facts regarding this tour should be made up front! Not 11 hours before departure! This added such undue stress about getting to the airport for our flight home.
We had 3 days in Rome and a 10 day cruise with multiple ports and 3 days in Venice with multiple tours and all booked through Viator and were great except for this one!
My suggestion-which we will do next time is Venice- is to get a porter and go to Plaza Aroma the transportation center and get a cab for a 1/4 of the price and get your porter arranged before hand to take you there.
We would never use Viator for any transportation to Marco Polo Airport in Venice ever again!

Super attentive service and fluid communication to ensure that my parents made it to/from Rome without any issues. Definitely would recommend for less experienced travelers as getting to Venice can be tricky.
