Visit and wine tasting at Tenuta La Cà

Excellence from Beginning to End!! Guilia, our host, was phenomenal! She made us feel like family from the moment we walked in the door, throughout the tasting experience and during the tour of the facility. You would've thought Tenuta La Ca was HER HOME, owned & run by her family, etc. We could feel her passion and commitment to the process, the land, the grapes, the company history, and everything in between. This was not my first winery tour, so trust me, I know the difference... I'll definitely go back and expose more of my family and friends to this beautiful, enlightening experience.

I have been to several wine tastings, and this experience was by far the best one I’ve ever had. Julia, our guide, was amazing. She ensured that we felt at home. Specifically, the way she explained the wine—its histories, contemporary processes, family stories—created an atmosphere that left me feeling informed, but also connected to the space. I felt as if I was now a part of this story, a story listener that can carry forward what I’ve learned about wine, people, and place. As a professor who consistently foregrounds story as an entry point to science, to knowledge, and to community, this experience affected me on a personal and intellectual level, something I never thought possible with wine as a focal point. So, thank you to Julia for this experience, and thank you to Tenuta La Ca for existing. I will be back!

Giulia was AMAZING! She was so knowledgeable about the entire process. I am not an alcohol drinker, but I still was fascinated by the story of the family, the vineyard, and the wines. I was here with my sister, mother, and uncle. They're all wine lovers and we're BLOWN AWAY by the vintages and flavors available. My sister usually hates red wine but was able to enjoy the reds made here. She of course loved the white wines and rosés she tried also. My uncle also doesn't usually like red wines but ended up grabbing a couple bottles of each red we tried. The tour was a lot of fun also. It was great learning how the family takes such a delicate hand to not be wine producers but wine translators, really ensuring the grapes can speak without interruption. Also, make sure you try the olive oil and take some home! I can't say enough how I recommend this experience. My uncle said he was looking at a lot of options and is overjoyed we found this one. I can't wait to come back with more family!
