A FANTASTIC experience, our guide Fatah, took great care of us and really took us step by step during the trip, to really dive into the region of Champagne, we saw a big house producer of champagne, it can be Mercier, Moet or Veuve depending on the availability of the houses, if you want one in particular make sure you let them know with time before your trip! They will definitely help you!
Also they took us to a small champagne producer who really immersed us into the world of crafting champagne, a great person and a true connaisseur of Champagne.
Over all a MUST DO tour, with great service, true experiences and amazing tour guides guaranteed!

Our driver, Clement, was the owner of Finding France (a tour agency) and the our guide for the day. His knowledge of the region and the people was amazing. We went to Paris in the last week of January and did not know what to expect but what we found was a delightful, very personalized day. At the beginning of the tour, Clement told us a couple of the big champagne producers were closed and that we would not be visiting them. We had not given it much thought about vineyards not producing wines or champagnes in the off season. It worked out quite well because we visited a smaller producer, where the owner is 77 and fifth generation champagne maker, who took us into his home and we sat at his kitchen table while he explained the entire process of champagne making). He then gave us a complete private tour the champagne producing process, from the pressing of the grapes and how fermented into champagne and the removal of sediment and finally bottling of the champagne. He even showed us some of the old fashioned way of doing it and the more automated way of doing it. (As an aside, even with automation, it is still a labor intensive process and now I understand why some champagnes can be so expensive.) After the tour, we sat in his kitchen and he gave us several different champagnes to taste test, some different years and some different blends. He was very generous with the pours for any of you who are reading this who like to drink (no judgement.) I on the other hand was not able to drink that much that day.
In summary, this turned out to be a delightful day and with a delightful elderly champagne maker. Thanks to Clement we had an experience that we never expected, when we set out for the two hour drive to the Champagne District from Paris. One nice thing about the end of the tour, we had the opportunity to buy some champagne but there was no pressure and there was very little attention given to the commercial side of the business. I have been on a number of wine making tours where the ultimate goal was to sell you wine. Not the case here. This was an elderly champagne maker who welcomed us into his home and gave us a very personalized tour.
A very important component of the day was the delightful stories and history provided by our guide. He lived in the United States for a number of years so his English was impeccable and his stories of contrasting American and French cultures/lifestyles was equally entertaining. I am glad I chose this personalized tour rather than a group tour of the champagne district. There is no way you could conceivably be disappointed
