In Bagdati, we are fortunate to have hospitable friends - the young sisters Baia and Gvatsa Abuladze, talented winemakers. We offer group tours from Kutaisi to Baia's winery. Come and visit them to enjoy excellent dry wine and a traditional Georgian meal.

  • Baia's Wine, Meore Obcha, Georgia
    Tour starts at 14:00 form our office in Kutaisi. We visit family winery “Baia’s wine” located in Bagdati municipality, village Obcha. Firstly, Baia and Gvantsa (Baia’s sister) show us vineyard that is just behind their house. Then we move to wine cellar to taste several types of wines they have. They produce “Tsolikouri”, “Krakhuna”, “Aladasturi”, “Ojaleshi”, “Otskhanuri Sapere” and of course “Chacha”. Afterwards we sit around big table full of Georgian food. Their mom makes the most delicious Imereian food you’ll ever try. After satisfying lunch we return back to Kutaisi by 18:00.

We had an amazing afternoon on the wine tasting experience organized by Budget Georgia. The lunch was the best we had during our stay and we felt like spending an afternoon with friends thanks to our amazing guide Lasha. He is very nice and incredibly knowledgable and interesting person! Thank you for the great experience! If we come back to Georgia for sure we will try more tours with them!

We spent a wonderful afternoon with our guide Joseph. He very well taught us the process of making the original Georgian wine and the nature of the Georgian celebration culture. The dinner we found great. Our driver drove ahead and safely.
